Some Linux distributions do not come with Chinese language support automatically. Users must download the fonts using apt-get or related methods.

Apt-Get Method

apt-get install xfonts-wqy ttf-wqy-zenhei ttf-wqy-microhei

Check that it is working

If the fonts are viewable (not boxes or strange things), then the Chinese fonts are working.
