Gandi BaseKit Free and Google Analytics

The basic, free level of Gandi BaseKit, which comes with most domains, contains just three pages and strips out any Google Analytics functionality. However, it is possible to enable Google Analytics with a simple workaround.

The easiest way to do this is to open the BaseKit website editor, find a blank space, and put in an Embed widget. You can follow the instructions here for non-BaseKit widgets, the example being Twitter. Simply double-click the inserted Embed widget, insert the Google Analytics tracking code into the form, save, and publish the website.

It should also be possible to do the same with the free DotClear-based blog attached to Gandi domain purchases. Simply open up the Presentation Widgets section, add a new Text widget, and insert the Google Analytics code.
