Imitation

With kids, it’s best to be careful what you say. A boy and I were having some fun at lunch, and I tried to make his vegetables seem more delicious by smiling widely, sticking both thumbs up, and saying, “yasai!” It motivated him to eat a little, I guess, but we all laughed when I did the same gestures with “geri!”. It was so funny that he showed a teacher what I did.

Note: yasai is Japanese for vegetables.
Note geri is Japanese for diarrhea.
